Breaking down and analyzing the 2018 WKU Hilltoppers football schedule.
2018 WKU Hilltoppers Football Schedule Analysis
– Everything kicks off with a shot at making a massive national statement, going to Wisconsin to try solving the Badger defense. The home opener against Maine is a must-win, followed up by a date at Louisville with another chance at a Power Fiver. Beating Ball State on the road can’t be a problem.
– Marshall is the big opener in the East, getting a huge home date to set the tone for the conference season. With a week off to follow, handling Charlotte on the road and Old Dominion and FIU at home shouldn’t be an issue. However, three of the last four games are on the road, including the battles at Middle Tennessee and Florida Atlantic.
– The Hilltoppers have to not only face Louisiana Tech from the West, they have to do it on the road in the regular season finale. They don’t have to deal with North Texas or Southern Miss, getting a relatively lightweight against UTEP.
