All You Really Need To Know About Villanova (30-4)

(Big East), RPI: 2. 1-seed

It wasn’t easy, needing overtime to get past Providence for the Big East Tournament championship, but the Wildcats got the job done. Balanced, six players average in double-digits around leading scorer Jalen Brunson on the nation’s best scoring team. After fizzling out of last year’s tournament, motivation won’t be a problem.

They lead the country with 87 points per game, are fantastic from the field, deadly from three, and great at moving the all around to find the open man for the easy look. The defense is more than good enough, and there aren’t a lot of mistakes – it’s a complete team with the talent and makeup to win a second national title in three years.

All You Really Need To Know About Radford (23-12)

(Big South), RPI: 141. 16-seed

The Highlanders struggled and sputtered to put away LIU Brooklyn, and then came the big stop, a bigger three, and they moved on after the First Four with a 71-61 win.

The key for them will be the pace, wanting to be very, very deliberate and slow everything down. They struggled to hit their open shots, but Ed Polite Jr. hit his free throne and was all over the boards.

This has to be slowed to a dead stop, and hope to muck it up with the No. 1 seed.

What’s Going To Happen

Against Villanova, Radford won’t have the firepower to keep up after the Wildcats go on a big early run. LIU Brooklyn was able to move the ball around, but couldn’t hit their shots. Villanova will move the ball around, and make them.
