2018 UNLV Rebels Football Schedule Analysis
– The Rebels get to have some fun to start out the season, going to USC with a chance to at least make it interesting. With UTEP and Prairie View A&M up next, there shouldn’t be too many problems getting to 2-1 before going to Arkansas State. If they’re good, they come back 3-1 before getting a week off.
– The conference slate isn’t all that bad to kick things off – October is relatively easy. It all starts with New Mexico coming to Vegas, and with trips to Utah State and San Jose State wrapped around a home date with Air Force.
Getting Fresno State and Nevada at home is a big plus, but having to go on the road to deal with San Diego State and Hawaii in back-to-back weeks will test the team’s toughness in mid-November.
– The Rebels miss Boise State, Colorado State and Wyoming from the Mountain, again, getting Air Force, New Mexico and Utah State. In all, the schedule can’t be used as an excuse with five of the eight Mountain West games against teams that didn’t go bowling.
