Breaking down and analyzing the 2018 Texas State Bobcats football schedule.
2018 Texas State Bobcats Football Schedule Analysis
– Going to Rutgers just isn’t that bad a way to start out the non-conference slate – there are worse Power Five teams to play. Texas Southern is beatable, but going to UTSA is a problem. For the region, winning that is a big deal. New Mexico State is the other non-conference day, coming in late October.
– Facing Appalachian State at home and Troy on the road in back-to-back games takes care of the biggest dates against the East, but that’s followed up by a showdown against Arkansas State to close out the season. TXST misses Coastal Carolina from the East.
– The ASU game and the date with Louisiana are both at home – those are the two toughest games against the West. There aren’t two road games in a row after the week off at the end of September, but they have to go to ULM and South Alabama in division play.
