All You Really Need To Know About Purdue
Purdue blew out Cal State Fullerton, but it came at a price, losing star C Isaac Haas to a broken elbow. He’s trying to make a comeback to make some sort of an effort, but that’s a long shot. Even without him, the Boilermakers are dangerous, but they have to shoot better than 4-of-18 from three like they did in the first round.
The Boilermakers don’t turn the ball over and they’re amazing from the field, but a lot of that goes through Haas on the inside. Fortunately, they really can shoot from three, too.
All You Really Need To Know About Butler
Led by Kelan Martin and his 27 points and Kamar Baldwin’s 24, Butler ran Arkansas out of the gym in a 79-62 win. The Bulldogs nailed 42% from three, was great on the free throw line, and was relentless scoring, hitting just about everything in the second half to pull away.
The Bulldogs struggle on the free throw line, and the defense isn’t all that great, but it’s a high-scoring team that likes getting up and down the court. They’re not going to beat themselves.
What’s Going To Happen
Just how much will the Haas injury hurt? The Boilermakers can’t win the national title without him, but they can rally together to keep up with the high-powered Bulldogs. They’ll move the ball around well enough to create the open shots in a fun and wild shootout.
