2018 Miami University RedHawks Football Schedule Analysis

– The RedHawks can see where they stand in the Group of Five world right away with Marshall to kick things off, followed up by the rivalry date with Cincinnati in Paul Brown Stadium in Cincy. Then it’s Power Five time, with the date at Minnesota to see if there’s a chance to pull off a big victory for the program and the MAC. The trip to Army in mid-October is the final non-conference game.

– The MAC slate starts out at Bowling Green, and going to Akron won’t be easy in East play, either. Worst of all, the RedHawks have to go to Buffalo and deal with Ohio in back-to-back weeks. Get off to a hot start, though, and they’ll be a factor.

– There aren’t too many easy breaks coming from playing the West, but closing out the regular season against Ball State at home is a big one. Unfortunately, that comes after a date at Northern Illinois. The other interdivisional game is against Western Michigan, missing Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, and Toledo.
