All You Really Need To Know About Loyola-Chicago
Two games, two miraculous victories. The Ramblers hit 50% from the field against Tennessee, came up with more rebounds, and was amazing from three. The D only sent the Vols to the line six times – Loyola came up with nine more made free throws – but it still came down to that one big shot.
The team just doesn’t commit fouls, the defense is suffocating at times, and when it’s time to hit from threes, it’s great. They don’t do enough on the boards overall, but they pass well, they don’t turn the ball over, and as the tournament has seen, they’re very, very clutch.
All You Really Need To Know About Nevada
In a special comeback, Nevada was dead until it cranked up the offense to get past Cincinnati 75-73 hitting 49% of its shots and overcoming a bad day from the line to pull off the miracle. This is a veteran, tough team that – as the Bearcats figured out – doesn’t quit.
One of the best teams in the nation in assists, they keep it moving, they don’t turn the ball over, and scoring in bunches isn’t a problem. This is one of the most dangerous attacks in the country that can bomb away, hit from the line, and attack the rim. The Wolf Pack can score from everywhere.
What’s Going To Happen
It’s been fun, but this is where the ride ends. Loyola won’t be able to handle Nevada on the boards, and it won’t be able to keep up the pace with the offense starts rolling.
This might be a plucky Rambler team, but the Wolf Pack aren’t going to make the big mistakes needed – and they’ll have too many second chance points.
