2018 Louisiana Tech Bulldogs Football Schedule Analysis
– Starting out at South Alabama isn’t an easy way to ease into the season, but getting Southern next followed up by a week off isn’t bad. And then comes the problem, having to go to LSU, as part of a run of three road games in four September dates. The Mississippi State game on the road in early November is the fourth non-conference game.
– The Conference USA season kicks off against North Texas on the road – giving the Bulldogs a chance to see where they stand right away in West play. They also have to go on the road to face UTSA and Southern Miss – it’s not going to be a easy to take the division. The Rice, UTEP and UAB games, though, are at home.
– The Bulldogs have the toughest two interdivisional games of anyone in the West, having to go to Florida Atlantic and also facing WKU. There’s no Marshall or Middle Tennessee, but it’ll still be a problem. Making it worse, the FAU game comes in the midst of a run of three road games in four weeks and five in seven.
