2018 Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Football Schedule Analysis

– The Mountain West season starts out right away in Week Zero, getting an interdivisional date with Colorado State. Missing Boise State is a huge plus, but not playing New Mexico or Air Force from the Mountain isn’t a plus. The Rainbow Warriors play Wyoming and Utah State – along with CSU – from the other division.

– It’s all about dealing with the option early on in the non-conference schedule, hosting Navy in Week One, and going to Army a few weeks later. Rice has to be a layup when it makes its way to Honolulu, and hosting Duquesne isn’t a problem. Going to BYU in mid-October wraps up the slate outside of the MW.

– The two teams from the West you don’t want to play on the road? Fresno State and San Diego State. Who does Hawaii play on the road? Those two, but it gets Nevada, Utah State and UNLV at home over the second half of the season.
