2018 Georgia Southern Eagles Football Schedule Analysis

– The option gets a few games to warm up, starting out against South Carolina State and UMass before having to deal with Clemson. Nah, the Eagles won’t beat the Tigers, but who wants to face the triple-option curveball? New Mexico State is the fourth non-conference game.

– The Eagles don’t have to face Louisiana from the West, and they start out Sun Belt play – after getting a week off – dealing with Arkansas State.  It’s all about the other division early on, not playing the first game against the East until late October.

– There’s a quick turnaround after going to New Mexico State, playing Appalachian State just five days later. Fortunately, that’s at home, and so is the other big date in the East against Troy. However, three of the last four games – and five of the last seven games – are on the road, closing out with a trip to Atlanta to face Georgia State.
