All You Really Need To Know About Florida State

The Seminoles rolled over Missouri, getting up 42-20 at halftime and cruising from there for a 67-54 breather. They were awful on the free throw line – hitting just 18-of-31 – but they were strong from three and were great defensively.

They’re terrific on the interior, coming up with a slew of blocked shots, force a lot of turnovers, and score in bunches. It’s a balanced team that gets production from everywhere, doing a nice job of spreading the ball around to get the easy score.

All You Really Need To Know About Xavier

They might have eased up off the throttle late, but Xavier roared offensively in the first round win over Texas Southern. Three Musketeers went for 24+ points, they came up with 42 rebounds, and they looked the part of a No. 1 seed.

They don’t force turnovers and they don’t have much of an interior presence, but they score in bunches, hit every free throw, and they’re good enough from three. With their activity on the boards, they make things easy on themselves by not allowing second chance points.

What’s Going To Happen

Florida State is just good enough to pull this off as long as it can survive the wave of Xavier scoring. This will be a high-scoring shootout with plenty of momentum swings, but Xavier is a bit better equipped.

The Musketeers will struggle inside, but they’ll get on the move. and they’ll make everything. Get ready to have a lot of fun.
