2018 Florida Atlantic Owls Football Schedule Analysis
– Okay, Florida Atlantic. If you want to be a big deal in Round Two of the Lane Kiffin experience, beat Oklahoma on the road – or, at least keep it interesting. Air Force has to make the trip to Boca Raton, as does Bethune-Cookman.
All of those might be interesting and important in their own way, but the Owls are going to want the final non-conference game more than any other: at UCF.
– The Conference USA season starts out against Middle Tennessee on the road, making it part of a run of three road games in four dates. There’s a week off, though, to prepare for the trip to Marshall. Unfortunately, the date with FIU is down the road 50 miles. The WKU game is at home, as is the regular season finale against Charlotte.
– The Owls catch a bad break having to go to North Texas and deal with Louisiana Tech from the West. They miss the relative lightweights – Rice and UTEP – but they also don’t have to deal with UTSA, UAB and Southern Miss.
