All You Really Need To Know About Duke
The Blue Devils rolled through Iona 89-67 without breathing hard. They got Marvin Bagley III going early – he hit 10-of-14 from the field – and took target practice as a team, hitting 43% of their shots.
Balanced, dangerous inside and out, and with the ability to move the ball as well as anyone in the tournament – and clean up the messes by hitting the boards hard – this is as complete as any team in the tournament. However, it’ll turn the ball over.
All You Really Need To Know About Rhode Island
The Rams survived Oklahoma 83-78 in an overtime thriller, clamping down on the Sooners to pull away in the extra frame. They did an amazing job of defending the three, was timely from the outside, and was air-tight with the ball, only turning it over six times.
The Rams aren’t great on the boards, though, relying on forcing mistakes and playing great defense from the outside. They can get into shootouts, though.
What’s Going To Happen
Rhode Island is about to get destroyed on the boards. Duke will outrebound the Rams by at least ten, it’ll defend the mediocre URI three point shooting without a problem, and will overcome a rocky first half to pull away in with a big run in the second.
