All You Really Need To Know About Arkansas (23-11)

(SEC), RPI: . 7-seed

Forget about the way the Razorbacks got blown out by Tennessee in the SEC Tournament – they’re going to be a dangerous team to beat with their great offensive attack. This isn’t the deepest scoring team, but it rotates in ten players, keeping everyone fresh around big-time scorers Jaylen Barford and Daryl Macon.

They screw up and foul way too often – thanks to the aggressive style – but they dominate the turnover margin. The might not shoot enough threes, but they make them, and they know how to put up points in bunches averaging 82 points per game.

All You Really Need To Know About Butler (20-13)

(Big East), RPI: . 10-seed

The Bulldogs had problems late in the season losing six of their last nine games – getting knocked out of the Big East Tournament by Villanova – helped by a good defense and the 1-2 scoring punch of Kelan Martin and Kamar Baldwin.

They don’t make a whole lot of big mistakes, they’re great at taking the ball away, and they own the free throw line, hitting 77% from the stripe. However, while they’re good on the defensive interior, they struggle to stop threes and they don’t come up with a lot of rebounds.

What’s Going To Happen

Both teams have major flaws, but they can fill it up.

Get ready for an up-and-down game with lots of scoring, lots of mood swings, and plenty of threes. Butler can’t rebound well enough, but it’s fantastic at taking the ball away. Arkansas can take the ball away, too.

The Hogs are too good from the field, and they’re great at hitting from the outside when they have to. Butler doesn’t guard well enough from the arc, and that will matter in the final few minutes to survive the shootout.
