2018 UCF Football Schedule
Realistic Best Case Scenario

– The Knights start out with a winnable date at UConn and get to tune up against South Carolina State before the showdowns against North Carolina and Florida Atlantic. Beat the Tar Heels, and it’ll be time to think it can all happen again. However, the FAU game will be a battle.

– The Knights take care of North Carolina and FAU, setting up a showdown against Pitt. If they’re 4-0 going into this, it’ll be a national big thing. Win, and then roll through SMU and slip by Memphis on the road. They survive the road game at East Carolina to stay unbeaten going into the bye week.

– Realistically, UCF loses once along the way, but they don’t leave Florida in November, closing out at USF. The Knights go 11-1 – or 10-2 with a loss in non-conference play – and go back to the American Athletic title game.

Realistic Worst Case Scenario

– The Knights can’t handle North Carolina on the road, get run over by the Fighting Kiffins of FAU at home, and lose to Pitt for an ugly 2-3 start with the fan base turning on the Josh Heupel era just as it gets started.

– After losing to Memphis on the road, it’s condition critical for the season, but the team bounces back to go on a little bit of a run. However, it can’t sweep the home games against Temple, Navy and Cincinnati.

– They lost to USF. Realistically, in a worst case scenario, UCF goes no worse than 6-6 and goes bowling. However, the losses to FAU and USF really, really hurt.
