Daily Five: Top Big Ten NFL Draft Prospects Invited To The Combine
No, really – where are the stars? It’s going to be a lonely first few days of the NFL Draft for the Big Ten, but that’s just a blip – 2019 will be massive for the league after what should be a great 2018 college season.
Here are the five most important prospects from the conference invited to the Combine.

5. LB Tegray Scales, Indiana
He’s going to slide, and he’s not going to be high on anyone else’s list of top prospects since he’ll be seen as a prospect only for the inside – and then he’ll eventually lead someone’s NFL team in tackles.
The 6-0, 230-pounder did it all for the Hoosier defense over the last few seasons, finishing second on the team with 89 tackles with six sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss – and he was even more disruptive as a union, with 126 tackles and 23.5 tackles for loss.
Tough, quick, and good enough to handle himself well in pass coverage or on special teams, he’s a solid fit for anyone’s style.
There might be a few concerns about his lack of bulk for the inside, and he’s not going to wow anyone at the Combine or in workouts, but he’ll be some GM’s must-have guy after the first three rounds.
You want him on your team, and he’ll be there for the taking in the fourth round.
