2018 Final Recruiting Class Rankings & What You Need To Know

Ranking all the 2018 recruiting classes for all 130 teams. How do they all look after the signings are in?

10. Auburn Tigers

What You Need To Know: It’s a fun class of future stars for the offense with a whole lot of athleticism and plenty of speed. The running backs should be special, and QB Joey Gatewood should be special in a few years.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Joey Gatewood
Strongest Position: Receivers

9. Notre Dame Fighting Irish

What You Need To Know: It’s a terrific class with most of the talent signing in December – it was a light National Signing Day. Brian Kelly came up with enough next-level talents to keep the Irish good, but were there enough to be truly great? Maybe.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Phil Jurkovec
Strongest Position: Defensive Back

8. Miami Hurricanes

What You Need To Know: Mark Richt improved the receiving corps for the near future and helped out the rest of the skill spots, but he got some great defensive backs to keep the Turnover Chain fun going.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: RB/WR Lorenzo Linguard
Strongest Position: Defensive Back

7. Alabama Crimson Tide

What You Need To Know: It might not be considered the typical epic Alabama recruiting class, but it’s still a lot better than anything most programs could dare to dream about. The defensive linemen are ridiculous, and there’s future NFL talent across the board.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: DE Eyabi Anoma
Strongest Position: Defensive End

6. Penn State Nittany Lions

In just about any other year, Penn State would be getting a whole lot more national publicity for an amazing class. There are pieces for everywhere, but – at least on the defensive side – the secondary and tackles are special.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: LB/DE Micah Parsons
Strongest Position: Wide Receivers

5. Clemson Tigers

What You Need To Know: It’s not a massive class, but the quality is ridiculous. The defensive ends and pass rushers are coming in bulk, the receivers are fantastic, and they got The Guy. They have their next-level quarterback in …
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Trevor Lawrence
Strongest Position: Defensive End

4. USC Trojans

What You Need To Know: The Trojans owned a chunk of National Signing Day, and that was after a nice start in December. There’s a lot to love for the defense, but the fans will be most jazzed up about the pitch-catch combo of JT Daniels to Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB JT Daniels
Strongest Position: Defensive Line

3. Ohio State Buckeyes

As always, Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes ripped it up on the recruiting trail. The prospects for the defensive front are fantastic, the receivers are great, and landing top OT Nick Petit-Frere was a huge moment on National Signing Day.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: LB Teradja Mitchell
Strongest Position: Defensive Line

2. Texas Longhorns

What You Need To Know: Fantastic, it was Texas being Texas again on the recruiting trail, with a few likely all-stars in the secondary, some great receivers, and mega-star talents to make the Longhorns great again.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: S Caden Sterns
Strongest Position: Defensive Back

1. Georgia Bulldogs

What You Need To Know: It’s a gluttonous class with Kirby Smart dominating during the Early Signing Period, and keeping it going right through National Signing Day. Name the position, and Georgia probably just landed someone who’s better than the recruit for at least 100 other teams.

This class does everything. It got the superstar QB in Justin Fields, it landed the top offensive linemen, it got the speed, it has the depth, and it even has the big steal, taking LB Otis Reese away from Michigan.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Justin Fields
Strongest Position: Offensive Line
