2018 Final Recruiting Class Rankings & What You Need To Know

Ranking all the 2018 recruiting classes for all 130 teams. How do they all look after the signings are in?

110. UAB Blazers

What You Need To Know: The Blazers just need more bodies and more options, hitting the JUCO world hard for the offensive line and the receiving corps. It’s an okay class overall, but the lower-level guys have to rock right away.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: RB Jarrion Street
Strongest Position: Safety
Recruiting Class Breakdown

109. Fresno State Bulldogs

What You Need To Know: There’s a lot up top with some good receivers and quarterbacks to go along with a load of defensive linemen. The linebackers are solid, too.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: WR Emoryie Edwards
Strongest Position: Defensive Tackle
Recruiting Class Breakdown

108. Troy Trojans

What You Need To Know: The great defense got a lot more help for the line and the secondary. There’s not a lot for the skill spots – at least in bulk – but there’s reason to be excited about the interior of the D.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Gunnar Watson
Strongest Position: Defensive Tackle
Recruiting Class Breakdown

107. Charlotte 49ers

What You Need To Know: It wasn’t pretty overall, but there are just enough nice prospects to think there’s hope for the near future. With lots of tight ends and help for all the skill spots, it could be an important class.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: RB Terrick Smalls
Strongest Position: Defensive End
Recruiting Class Breakdown

106. UTEP Miners

What You Need To Know: It’s going to take at least a year for new head coach Dana Dimel to make a big splash. The JUCO transfers are playing a big role right away, while hoping for the offensive linemen and deep group of receivers to be ready sooner than later.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Kai Locksley
Strongest Position: Offensive Line
Recruiting Class Breakdown

105. Texas State Bobcats

What You Need To Know: There might not be any success on the field, but Everett Withers is rocking the recruiting trail. The passing game should rock in the next few years with the prospects coming in, but there’s almost nothing for sure on the defensive front seven.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Tyler Vitt
Strongest Position: Wide Receiver
Recruiting Class Breakdown

104. Utah State Aggies

What You Need To Know: The Aggies might have gone after three quarterback prospects, but they’re mostly loading up on the defensive side, especially on the line.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: CB D.J. Williams
Strongest Position: Defensive End
Recruiting Class Breakdown

103. Eastern Michigan Eagles

What You Need To Know: The Eagles, apparently, want to do more with the passing game, cranking up the receiving corps. The defensive backs are the key for the other side.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: WR Logan Giordano
Strongest Position: Wide Receiver
Recruiting Class Breakdown

102. San Jose State Spartans

What You Need To Know: The JUCO transfers are rolling in for several spots, especially in the secondary. There’s not a lot for the offense, but that’s for next year – the Spartans have to start stopping someone.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: CB Nehemiah Shelton
Strongest Position: Defensive Back
Recruiting Class Breakdown

101. Hawaii Rainbow Warriors

What You Need To Know: The Rainbow Warriors went hard on the offensive line with several JUCO transfers, and they cranked it up at receiver throwing several bodies at the position.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: DE Justus Tavai
Strongest Position: Offensive Line
Recruiting Class Breakdown

100. Connecticut Huskies

What You Need To Know: The Huskies didn’t get any sure-thing playmakers or starters, but they got a whole lot for the secondary and tried loading up on the offensive line.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Steve Krajewski
Strongest Position: Defensive Back
Recruiting Class Breakdown

99. UNLV Rebels

What You Need To Know: There might not be too many superstar talents, but there are plenty of good gets, especially at the skill spots to put into the mix right away. The goal, though, appears to be to stop the run with a whole lot of prospects for the D line.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Max Gilliam
Strongest Position: Defensive Tackle
Recruiting Class Breakdown

98. Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders

What You Need To Know: It’s not a big class, but it’s quality over quantity. It’s a versatile group, especially in what might grow into a good receiving corps. There’s not a lot for the defense, but the secondary got some help.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Luke Shiflett
Strongest Position: Offensive Line
Recruiting Class Breakdown

97. North Texas Mean Green

What You Need To Know: The coaching staff went after plenty of quarterbacks to develop and lots of defensive backs to help out the porous D. It’s a strong overall class with the idea to throw more, and stop others from bombing away.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: CB Alex Morris
Strongest Position: Defensive Back
Recruiting Class Breakdown

96. Florida Atlantic Owls

What You Need To Know: Lane Kiffin didn’t load up with a ton of talent, but the top-line guys he brought in will be difference-makers. The JUCO transfers will matter in a small class that’s more quality over quantity.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: WR Nero Nelson
Strongest Position: Defensive Line
Recruiting Class Breakdown

95. Ohio Bobcats

What You Need To Know: It’s a good looking class for the defensive line, and the receivers are there on the other side, but it’s just an okay class for one of the MAC’s best programs. There isn’t enough talent to make up for the lack of bulk.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Joseph Mischler
Strongest Position: Defensive Line
Recruiting Class Breakdown

94. Kent State Golden Flashes

What You Need To Know: Considering there wasn’t much time to operate, new head coach Sean Lewis did a great job. The key get was landing Auburn QB transfer Woody Barrett, but there’s a lot more help for the offense. The pass rushers are coming in on the other side.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: QB Woody Barrett
Strongest Position: Wide Receiver
Recruiting Class Breakdown

93. Georgia Southern Eagles

What You Need To Know: It’s a great class to get excited about, getting a few good players for the defensive side, but rolling for an offense that landed the parts to fit the offensive style.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: RB Andrew Cunningham
Strongest Position: Cornerback
Recruiting Class Breakdown

92. Florida International Golden Panthers

What You Need To Know: Butch Davis came up with plenty of help for the defensive front, but he made sure to help the mediocre offense with a few nice receivers. However, this class is all about the line.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: DT Tayland Humphrey
Strongest Position: Defensive Tackle
Recruiting Class Breakdown

91. Arkansas State Red Wolves

What You Need To Know: It’s really, really good – at least in terms of Sun Belt classes. The JUCO prospects are going to make a big difference, but there’s more for the good skill spots, defensive tackle, and the defensive backs.
Best Prospect Name You Should Know: WR Kirk Merritt
Strongest Position: Wide Receiver
