Breaking down and analyzing the 2018 Wake Forest Demon Deacons football schedule.
2018 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Football Schedule Analysis
– The Demon Deacons had better come up with a big early run – it’s about as nice as it gets. Yes, there’s a home date against Clemson in the mix, but after starting out the year in Week Zero with a road game at Tulane, they get a ridiculous five straight home games.
Playing Boston College, Notre Dame, and again, Clemson, will hardly be easy, but Towson and Rice aren’t a problem. And again, all are at home. But …
– Payback over the second half of the season is a … problem. Four of the last six games are on the road, and all of them will be nasty. After that home game against Clemson comes a week off to rest up for the road games against Florida State and Louisville in back-to-back weeks. Making matters worse, there’s another Atlantic road game at NC State coming five days after dealing with Syracuse.
– There’s no Miami and there’s no Virginia Tech from the Coastal to face. Pitt and Duke? The Demon Deacons can’t ask for much more than that to end the regular season. Best of all, after the opener against Tulane, the team leaves the state of North Carolina just twice in the final 11 games.
