Breaking down and analyzing the 2018 Utah Utes football schedule.
2018 Utah Utes Football Schedule Analysis
– Weber State on August 30th – that’s how you start a season. Get all the kinks out, and get ready for the next step – a trip to Northern Illinois. If the Utes are any good, neither game is a problem. The last non-conference game is a biggie, dealing with BYU in a Holy War in Salt Lake City at the end of the regular season.
– The Pac-12 season starts out with a nasty date against Washington, but again, the Utes will have tuned up with those first two non-conference games. They get a week off before having to go to Washington State and then travel to Stanford. The last interdivisional game? Oregon, meaning they get a bad break missing both Cal and Oregon State.
– There’s a run of three road games in four weeks before finishing up against BYU, having to deal with UCLA, Arizona State and Colorado from the South all on the road. On the plus side, the Arizona and USC games are at home. However, they’re within six days of each other.
