2018 USC Trojans Football Schedule Analysis
– The non-conference dates are spread out, mainly because the Notre Dame game comes at the end of the rainbow. It’s in Los Angeles, but it means the Pac-12 season ends on November 17th. The opener against UNLV is the tune-up for the start of the conference run, but there’s a date at Texas to deal with just to see how sharp the Trojans really are.
– The conference slate kicks in almost right away on September 8th with a Pac-12 Championship rematch vs. Stanford. The Trojans take the trip to Palo Alto, and then they’ve got to go to Texas. Making matters worse, they have three road games in four weeks before getting a week off to prepare for the rest of the run.
– There’s that road trip to Stanford to deal with early on, but there’s no Washington from the North to face and there’s no Oregon, either. Washington State and Cal have to make the trip to LA, and going to Oregon State is no big deal.
In South action, the Trojans have to go to UCLA – again, not a problem when it comes to road games – but the dates at Arizona and Utah won’t be easy.
