2018 Tennessee Volunteers Football Schedule Analysis

– The Jeremy Pruitt era starts out hot with a showdown against West Virginia and quarterback Will Grier – he made his name for his performance against the Vols back when he was at Florida. The program isn’t exactly extending itself in non-conference play the rest of the way, dealing with East Tennessee State, UTEP and Charlotte.

– The SEC season kicks in full force with the Florida battle right away, followed up by the road games at Georgia and Auburn, and then comes the Alabama date. There might be a week off before the Auburn trip, but even so, starting out anything but 0-4 in conference play would be great.

– Tennessee always gets the horrible break of having to play Alabama every year in interdivisional play, and it gets no help with that trip to Auburn.

However, November eases up in a big way, with home games against Charlotte, Kentucky and Missouri before going to Vanderbilt. The Vols leave the state of Tennessee just once after October 13th.
