Pac-12 Final Analysis

The Pac-12 wasn’t all that close to getting into the College Football Playoff, the top teams were beaten up in a few key non-conference games, and the bowl season was a complete and total disaster. Other than that, everything went great.

The conference might have lost a few star quarterbacks, but there’s a whole lot of hope going forward with the excitement of new coaches at UCLA, Arizona, Oregon State and Arizona State – and to a certain extent, at Oregon – and with stars like Khalil Tate and Bryce Love back. However, the teams need to come up with bigger wins in the non-conference schedule, and the league can’t be an afterthought on a national scale again.

The whole #Pac12AfterDark might be fun, but it also shows the problem. It was a fun conference season in a lot of ways, but it was easily the No. 5 conference among the Power Five.
