2018 Oklahoma Sooners Football Schedule Analysis
– There’s no Ohio State this season, but the Sooners get a fun date to kick things off against Lane Kiffin’s loaded Florida Atlantic team. Follow that up by UCLA making the trip to Norman, and that’s a lot of good coaching and interesting offense to start things out. If that wasn’t enough in non-conference play, OU has to deal with the Army rushing attack, too.
– The Big 12 season starts up at Iowa State – it’s revenge time, but the Cyclones aren’t going to care about that. But that’s the lone road game in a long, long stretch – or, at least, non-home date.
The Texas game, as always, is in Dallas, but there’s only one true road date in five of the first six games. The week off comes in the middle of the season after the Red River Rivalry, or Shootout, or Showdown, or Longhorn game. However …
– There’s only one true home game between September 29th and November 10th. The TCU and Texas Tech games are on the road, wrapped around the Kansas State date. But getting Oklahoma State at home is the biggest break on the slate. There are only six days, though, to prepare for the regular season finale at West Virginia.
