Breaking down and analyzing the 2018 Notre Dame Fighting Irish football schedule.
2018 Notre Dame Fighting Irish Football Schedule Analysis
– Beat Michigan to start the season, and September isn’t all that bad. Vanderbilt isn’t a layup, and going to Wake Forest will be a fight, but if the Irish are the real deal, those can’t be a problem. Stanford and Bryce Love will bring the national attention to the last game of the month, but it’s in South Bend.
– There’s no time to rest up after dealing with the Cardinal, with a trip to Virginia Tech to follow. Lose this, and there’s a huge problem with a tough November ahead. There can’t be a slip against Pitt, and the week off to follow is a must for the finishing kick, starting with a trip to Navy in San Diego. In all, the Irish get just one home game from September 29th to November 10th.
– The final home game is against Syracuse on November 17th. That’s the only break in a brutal November, starting out in Evanston against Northwestern, and following it up with Florida State coming to town. The regular season finale is at USC – a little bit might be made out off last year’s blowout win over the Trojans.
