2018 Michigan State Spartans Football Schedule Analysis
– Can the Spartans handle the Herm Edwards Sun Devils? They start out against Utah State and follow it up with a trip to Tempe to deal with Arizona State. Central Michigan is the other non-conference date – none of those are all that bad. At least, they aren’t if MSU is really that good.
-MSU doesn’t exactly ease into the conference season, but starting out at Indiana after getting a week off isn’t bad. And then it’s time to take advantage of the break of four home games in five weeks, including Michigan. On the down side, the showdown with the Wolverines comes after a trip to Penn State.

– There’s no Wisconsin from the West to deal with. Northwestern will be tough, but that’s a home date, and so is the Purdue game. The other interdivisional date is at Nebraska, but there’s no Iowa, and again, no Badgers.
