Breaking down and analyzing the 2018 Kansas State Wildcats football schedule.
2018 Kansas State Wildcats Football Schedule Analysis
– The season starts out with a paycheck date against a not-that-bad South Dakota team, using this to tune-up for the arrival of Mississippi State making the trip up to The Family. UTSA won’t be a breeze, either, with the type of defense to be far more than just a fun non-conference game. All three pre-Big 12 games are in Manhattan.
– The key to the first part of the Big 12 season? Survival. Four of the first six games are on the road, starting out with a trip to West Virginia and finishing up at Oklahoma and TCU in a brutal back-to-back stretch.
However, there’s a week off to prepare for the two combatants in last year’s Big 12 title game. On the plus side, Texas and Oklahoma State are at home.
– There are five conference road games on only one section of back-to-back home games. The worst part about that? They’e against Kansas and Texas Tech – two of the easier games on the slate. That’s all before finishing up the regular season at Iowa State.
