Breaking down and analyzing the 2018 Florida Gators football schedule.
2018 Florida Gators Football Schedule Analysis
– The Dan Mullen era starts out with a scrimmage against Charleston Southern, and it’s followed up by the annual – at least it had better be for Mullen – win over Kentucky. Throw in the Colorado State game, and it’s three straight home games to kick things off.
The SEC part of the fun ends for the Gators on November 10th, with Idaho and the Florida State games to close out the regular season campaign – the date with the Noles is in Tallahassee.
– The team goes almost a month without a home game, starting at Vanderbilt and going through the Should-Still-Be-Called-Cocktail Party against Georgia in Jacksonville. That includes the Tennessee game, too. Even stranger, the LSU game on October 6th is at home, but that’s the only home game for seven weeks.
– The LSU game is always a problem when it comes to interdivisional play, but there’s no Alabama to face, and there’s no Auburn. But there’s a funky irony game when Mullen has to go back to Starkville for the date with Mississippi State to end the September run.
