2018 California Golden Bears Football Schedule Analysis
– The non-conference schedule is interesting, starting out against an improved North Carolina before having to go on the road to deal with what should be a BYU team that’s far stronger than it was last year. With Idaho State to follow and then an off week, there’s plenty of time to rest up for the Pac-12 season.
– The Bears have a rough midseason run of three road games in four weeks, but that’s the only sticking point. Stanford has to come up the road to Berkeley, and the Pac-12 season kicks off against Oregon at home. If that wasn’t enough of a break, the Washington game is at Cal, too.
– The down side? The Bears have to face USC from the South, and they have to do it on the road at the end of that midseason run. Going to Arizona won’t be easy, and facing UCLA won’t be a breeze. They miss Arizona State and Utah from the other division.
