2018 Auburn Tigers Football Schedule Analysis
– Auburn didn’t have a whole lot of fun it its last two games of last year in Atlanta – losing the SEC Championship to Georgia and to UCF in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl. And now it’s starting out the 2018 season back in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium against Washington. However, there’s a good paycheck game against Alabama State the week after to get ready for the SEC season.
The other non-conference games against Southern Miss and Liberty won’t be an issue. Best of all, though, after that date with the Huskies to kick things off, the next four games – and five of the next six – are at home.
– It’s Tiger on Tiger action to start up the SEC slate, hosting LSU on September 15th, followed up by another West battle against Arkansas. Texas A&M has to come to Jordan-Hare, but in the division, the dates against Mississippi State and Ole Miss are on the road. Worst of all, so is the Iron Bowl against Alabama.
– As if the start against UW and the finish against the Tide wasn’t bad enough, the Tigers have to deal with the annual date vs. Georgia from the East in a rough road game in mid-November. The other interdivisional date is against Tennessee in mid-October, but that’s at home.
