It was the one guy James Franklin had to land.
Arguably the top defensive end prospect in the 2018 recruiting class, Pennsylvania native Micah Parsons got a huge push from Georgia, Alabama, Oklahoma and Ohio State, but he stayed firm in his commitment to Penn State.
Along with DT Nana Asiedu, WR Justin Shorter, corner prospect Ricky Slade, this has been a huge early start for Penn State. But in Parsons, Franklin got his crown jewel for this class.
Now he has his recruiting pitch for the defense – come to Penn State, and work on the line around the 6-3, 235-pound future pass rushing star.
