What’s Going To Happen
UConn is having problems.
It started to look like it was putting something together with two straight wins, and then came the home blowouts to Missouri and UCF, and now it’s all about looking ahead to 2018.
And it’s about the right now for David Pindell.
With starting QB Bryant Shirreffs knocked out, it’s the smallish bomber who’ll try to kickstart the passing game that was accurate against USF, but didn’t go anywhere.
UCF is about getting through these mediocre games and moving on. This shouldn’t be a problem, and going to Temple can’t be an issue. It’s all going to come down to the date with USF at the end of the regular season.
For a team pushing towards a New Year’s Six slot, it has to keep on pressing with an offense that slowed down a bit against Navy and SMU on the road, but should roll against an abysmal UConn secondary.
It’s the No. 1 scoring offense vs. the second-worst defense in college football. It’s the second-most efficient passing game vs. a pass defense that’s 124th in efficiency.
It’s not going to be pretty.
