Todd Gurley Trying To Please Fantasy Owners
Former Georgia running back Todd Gurley has had a stellar 2017 season so far, leading the NFL in total touchdowns.
Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley is currently fantasy football’s top ranked running back, averaging 22 points per game (PPR league).
Midway through the season, Gurley has accumulated 686 rushing yards, 328 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns, putting him on pace for career highs across the board.
And guess what, fantasy owners? He’s doing it for you.
“I told [Jared] Goff to give me the ball because all these fantasy people want their points,” Gurley said while smiling. “Gotta make them happy.”
Gurley is back on top the NFL in terms of rushing and finding the end zone, and much of that has to do with an improved surrounding personnel and the welcomed creativity of first-year head coach Sean McVay.
“It means a lot,” Gurley said of returning to elite form. “Obviously, if you’re winning, you hope you have somebody at the top. I’ve been able to be up there in rushing. The O-line has been doing a great job of giving me room, the receivers out there blocking — everybody just out there doing their job.”
The 6-2 Rams – first place in the NFC West – host the Houston Texans on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET.
