What’s Going To Happen

Miami University has had such a maddening season.

It showed it was good enough to beat Buffalo, Central Michigan, and get by an Akron team that might win the MAC East, but it inexplicably collapsed against Kent State, Bowling Green, and last week at home against Eastern Michigan. And now it’s not going bowling.

Ball State is almost done in a miserable season, losing eight straight with with the only wins coming in mid-September. In blowout loss after blowout loss, the offense has sputtered, and the defense hasn’t picked up the slack.

At home, will the Cardinals be able to rise up and shine against a down RedHawk team that now isn’t going for a 13th game?

Ball State doesn’t have any sort of a downfield passing game – ranking dead last in the nation is yards per completion – and with a defense that’s getting picked apart by anyone who can throw a forward pass.

The RedHawk offensive line will allow Gus Ragland to take target practice on the Cardinal defense – and the Cardinal O won’t be able to keep up.

MU will be balanced at times, but Ragland will be the difference.

Ball State tries to stay alive playing ball control, but the RedHawks are good at that, too.
