Louisiana (4-5) vs. New Mexico State (4-5) Game Preview
Broadcast, TV, Game Time
Date: Saturday, November 18th
Game Time: 5:00 pm ET
Venue: Cajun Field, Lafayette, LA
What’s Going To Happen
The loser still has hope to become bowl eligible, but it’ll take some work. The winner will be a step away from a 13th game.
Louisiana-Lafayette is coming off a blowout loss to Ole Miss, but with Georgia Southern up next, a win at home over NMSU should lead to six wins and a bowl without needing to get by Appalachian State in the finale.
New Mexico State’s offense continues to roll, and with two home games against Idaho and South Alabama to close, it’s in better shape no matter what. But a win would all but mean a bowl game.
Can the Ragin’ Cajun offense crank it up after sputtering over the last three games? The NMSU passing game leads the Sun Belt and is fourth in the nation, and ULL doesn’t quite have the pass rush or the secondary to shut it all down cold.
This should be a wee bit of a shootout, and the Aggies are better equipped.
