What’s Going To Happen
Can Utah State finish it off? It hasn’t been the easiest of seasons, but with a win at New Mexico last week, the Aggies can now get bowl eligible with a win against Hawaii – they’re not going to want to leave it up to a date at Air Force to finish things out.
The Rainbow Warriors are on a three-game losing streak with an offense that can’t seem to come through at the right time even though the defense hasn’t been all that bad.
Utah State doesn’t do any one thing at a particularly high level, but they’re great at forcing turnovers and they seem to be able to do just enough defensively against bad teams to get by.
Again, Hawaii isn’t good at that.
The Rainbow Warriors have hitters on D, but they can’t stop third down plays. Utah State can, and at home, that will be just enough for a team that manufactures ways – blocked kicks, defensive scores – to overcome the problems.
There won’t be anything pretty about this other than Utah State getting its sixth win.
