ESPN – Georgia Has Most Recruiting Momentum
So far, 2017 has been quite the year for the Georgia Bulldogs. On the field, UGA is undefeated and is ranked as the No. 1 team in the College Football Playoff poll.
In the mythical national recruiting race, second-year head coach Kirby Smart and the Dawgs are doing quite well too. After coming off 2017 with the nation’s No. 3 recruiting class, Georgia currently has the number five rated 2018 class and the number two rated 2019 class.
ESPN recruiting analyst Gerry Hamilton expects the trend to continue and tweeted today that Georgia currently has the most recruiting momentum, followed by Ohio State, Miami and Alabama.
Georgia has 18 commits for 2018, including the nation’s No. 1 recruit, Harrison High quarterback Justin Fields, the nation’s No. 1 running back, Scotland High’s (NC) Zamir White and the second-rated outside linebacker in Rome’s Adam Anderson.
The Bulldogs also are favored to sign Pace Academy guard Jamaree Salyer, the top offensive lineman in the country. The Dawgs should sign about 25 recruits this cycle and continue to move up the national rankings.
