Cincinnati (2-6) vs. Tulane (3-5) Game Preview
Broadcast, TV, Game Time
Date: Saturday, November 4th
Game Time: 4:00 pm ET
Venue: Yulman Stadium, New Orleans, LA
What’s Going To Happen
Both teams are in desperate need of something positive after rough losing streaks.
Tulane has been interesting, but it lost three straight and now needs to win three of its last four games to go bowling. With Houston and SMU still to play – along with East Carolina – this has to be a win to stay alive.
Cincinnati has hit a wall with five straight losses. The defense isn’t close to being strong enough to hold off the better teams, and the offense hasn’t been timely or explosive. It has to win out to go bowling, but with Temple, at East Carolina, and UConn to close, that’s not crazy.
The problem is a Bearcat run defense that’s not good enough to stop the Tulane option ground game. There’s no pass rush and there isn’t enough pressure to slow down the machine before it gets started.
Tulane doesn’t have much of a run D, either, but it makes up for it by hanging on to the ball for forever and not turning the ball over. That will be just enough to get out alive.
