Championship Week Ticket Prices
For anyone looking to catch a championship game this weekend for one of the Power 5 conferences, be prepared to open your wallet. Unless you’re in California…
Pac-12 Championship Average Ticket Price: $93.26
Click For Ticket: #12 Stanford vs. #10 USC
Due to a lack of success by the conference thus far in the College Football Playoff era – only Oregon has made the title game, in the origin season of 2015 – and the fact that neither team appears to have a shot this year either, pricing for this championship seems to be affected.
However, the Cardinal and Trojans are longstanding rivals, and Stanford has a chance to avenge their loss in this year’s conference opener.
Big Ten Championship Average Ticket Price: $196.21
Click For Ticket: #8 Ohio State vs. #4 Wisconsin
Playing each other for the first time this year, both Ohio State and Wisconsin have a realistic shot at making the College Football Playoff with a win, and it shows in the current pricing and demand for these tickets. While Ohio State would need some chaos to be a part of the final four teams, Wisconsin would put to bed all questions about their weak non-conference schedule and guarantee that the conference is represented in the Playoff for the fourth straight year.
ACC Championship Average Ticket Price: $238.90
Click For Ticket: #7 Miami vs. #1 Clemson
While the pricing for this game could have been much higher had Miami fended off Pittsburgh last week and set up a 1 vs. 2 match-up, you won’t get in for cheap.
Another pair of teams meeting for the first time this season, Clemson is looking to defend its national championship crown while the Hurricanes are looking to crash the Playoff party in Mark Richt’s second year on the job.
Big 12 Championship Average Ticket Price: $257.52
Click For Ticket: #11 TCU vs. #3 Oklahoma
The price point for this game is not only about the match-up itself, but the fact that this will be the first Big 12 Championship Game since 2010, which was the last season that the conference had 12 members.
With a lack of representation in the College Football Playoff so far – Oklahoma has been the only participant, in 2016 – the conference knew it needed a title game to add one more marquee match-up for the voters of the playoff committee.
SEC Championship Average Ticket Price: $725.72
Click For Ticket: #6 Georgia vs. #2 Auburn
One could argue that tickets for this championship are at the level they are due to Alabama not being a part of the game for the first time in three years, but this is also the first title shot for Georgia since 2012 and Auburn since 2013.
It’s the first SEC Championship in the just-opened Mercedes-Benz Stadium – and it’s in Georgia’s backyard.
