WVU added another Junior College prospect to their 2018 class when Northwest Mississippi Community College cornerback Joshua Norwood committed to the Mountaineers.
Norwood comes from the same high school that current WV commit Jayce Rodgers goes to now. Norwood committed to Ohio State out of high school and transferred out of Ohio State after playing there for two seasons.
Through 5 games this season, Norwood is fifth on the team in tackles with 21. 13 of his tackles are solo and 2 of them were for a loss in yards. He also has played well in coverage with 3 pass deflections. Norwood and others have led the team to a strong start with their record being 4-1.
Norwood still has two years of eligibility left and will play them in Morgantown thanks to Coach Doug Belk. Belk has helped Coach Dana Holgorsen with recruiting down in Georgia and because of Belk’s work, WVU has landed many prospects from what people would call “SEC country.”
