After a rough 0-5 start, UTEP head coach Sean Kugler has offered his resignation.

UTEP head football coach Sean Kugler announced his resignation on Sunday after an 0-5 start to the season.

In his four years and five games, Kugler went 18-36 with one winning season, taking the Miners to the 2014 New Mexico Bowl. But his team struggled over the last few years, and got out to a disastrous start this season.

UTEP lost to Oklahoma, Rice, Arizona, New Mexico State and Army by a combined score of 226 to 72. Most galling was the 31-14 loss at home to Rice, who has managed just 27 points in the other four games.
