James Cook Commits To Georgia: What It Means For The Dawgs
Georgia added yet another five-star to its 2018 class on Thursday, as Miami Central running back James Cook committed to the Dawgs.
Georgia’s 2018 recruiting class is on an absolute tear as of late. In October alone, Georgia has gained a commitment from the nation’s number one overall player, Justin Fields; the second ranked outside linebacker, Adam Anderson; and now the Dawgs locked up the nation’s third ranked running back in James Cook…the younger brother of FSU’s all-time leading rusher Dalvin Cook.
Georgia now has 18 commits for their 2018 class, and according to 247Sports the Dawgs possess the nation’s 5th ranked class.
The Dawgs are not done yet, however, when it comes to the addition of five-star players. Pace Academy’s (Atlanta, Ga.) Jamaree Salyer, the nation’s top ranked offensive lineman, appears to have his sights set on Georgia as well. Salyer will announce his decision on December 15th.
Georgia now has two five-star running backs locked in for the class of 2018: Zamir White and James Cook. Not to mention Justin Fields, a dual-threat quarterback and the nation’s number one overall player.
