First, Army pulled out a thrilling overtime win over Temple – the Black Knights hit their field goal; Temple missed its try – and then it accepted a bid to the Armed Forces Bowl.

The Black Knights are 6-2 on the season, and while there aren’t any impressive wins over any sure-thing bowl teams – there’s a chance they haven’t beaten a team that’ll go bowling – it doesn’t matter. It’s a post-season game for a program that’s not used to them.

Army is 4-2 all-time in bowl games, last winning the Heart of Dallas Bowl last year in overtime over North Texas.

Who will Army play? The Black Knights will face a team from Conference USA. With the game in Fort Worth, Texas, the best early guess is UTSA, but a bowl rematch with North Texas or a date with Southern Miss are in the mix.
