What’s Going To Happen

Two colossal disappointments, Air Force and Nevada are each desperately fighting for their respective seasons.

The Falcons still have hopes of going bowling, but at 2-4 with Boise State and Colorado State still to play on the road, they can’t lose this, or to anyone else. After doing their best to almost blow a huge lead in a 34-30 win over UNLV to break a four-game losing streak, they have to take down the Wolf Pack in a big hurry.

At least Nevada is playing better, but it has to run the table to go bowling. That’s not going to happen, but as long as the offense continues to perk up – after beating Hawaii and pushing Colorado State – and there’s hope to turn things around next year in the second year under head coach Jay Norvell, it’ll be a plus.

The Wolf Pack defensive front is great at getting behind the line, and while the run defense isn’t fantastic, it might just be feisty enough to give Air Force’s option attack a hard time for a while.

But it’s all about the Air Raid offense that cranked up 508 yards and five touchdowns in the fight with Colorado State. Can it move the ball on the nation’s No. 1 pass defense?

Air Force mostly faced teams that only run the ball, and now the secondary is about to have a hard time.

Do you like the team that’s going to run for 400 yards, or the team that’s going to throw for a ton of yards?

We don’t know what the Air Force defense can do against someone who can throw a forward pass, but the offense will have the ball for 40 minutes to survive a shockingly fun back-and-forth game.
