Wyoming Travels To Big Ten Country
Can Craig Bohl claim his second victory over Iowa as a head coach?
Wyoming has a chance to surprise this weekend
The Wyoming Cowboys have a chance to make a name for themselves as the 2017 football season gets underway. The Cowboys are currently known for quarterback Josh Allen who is currently projected as a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.
While the Cowboys have Allen at quarterback they lost their top three pass catches from last year, running back Brian Hill and Chase Roullier is making a name for himself in the NFL.
If Wyoming is going to win they will rely heavily on Allen to make plays on his own and look for new playmakers and one of those will be wide receiver C.J. Johnson who is the new number one wide out taking over for Tanner Gentry.
The running game is led by the duo of Milo Hall and Nico Evans who are replacing Brian Hill, and it will be tough to replicate his production.
The Wyoming defense will need to step up and improve in their rush defense which was bad last year. Iowa has one of the best backs in the Big Ten in Akrum Wadley and he is backed up by 1,000 yard rusher James Butler who transferred from Nevada on July 4th to be closer to home.
