What’s Going To Happen
Let’s just be overly dramatic about it – this is Wyoming’s season.
Mediocre so far, it’s not a shocker that the Cowboys are 1-2 to start things off – with losses to Iowa and Oregon – but it’s the way they lost. They weren’t even competitive.
Oh sure, with Texas State and Utah State up next, there are still wins to be had, but to lose the Mountain West opener at home – with Boise State and Air Force to play on the road – would be a killer.
Hawaii has had two weeks off to rest up after getting blown out at UCLA, and now it’s time to steal a win. The schedule ahead looks more dangerous than Wyoming’s with Colorado State and San Diego State on their way to Honolulu soon.
The Warrior pass rush should get to Josh Allen early on, but it’ll be the offense and the ground game that could be the surprise.
Allen is overdue for a strong performance, but he needs help from a running game that hasn’t gone anywhere.
Expect a firefight.
Both defenses will attacks, and both will be burned. The Rainbow Warrior secondary will make the mistakes the Cowboy defensive backs won’t.
