Check out 3 Quick Game Thoughts on West Virginia’s blowout win over East Carolina

Prediction: West Virginia 45, East Carolina 17
West Virginia 56, East Carolina 20
1. Will Grier was fantastic. The East Carolina defense might not be all that great, but whatever – West Virginia looked magnificent.
Grier built off the great second half against Virginia Tech by completing 19-of-25 passes for 352 yards and five scores, and all with fantastic hair.
David Sills caught three touchdown passes with 153 yards, and the ground game was fine, too, with Justin Crawford running for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
With Delaware State and Kansas up next, the stats are going to get ridiculous.
2. Yeah, the defense was a little soft, but it eased up off the throttle after the O put up 49 first half points. The pass rush was fine, and the secondary came up with two picks, but giving up 470 yards is something the coaches can harp on – if they’re looking for something to get into a twist over.
3. Where’s the pass rush? With no sacks and not enough pressure, ECU’s two quarterbacks threw for 328 yards and two scores. Coming off a day with just one sack against Virginia Tech, the plays in the backfield have to start coming.
