One Reason Why Montana Will Win
Montana isn’t going to wilt just because it’s going against Washington. There’s a big passing game – Reese Phillips threw for 381 yards and four scores in a win over Valparaiso, and there’s just enough of a ground game to balance things out.
Unlike Rutgers, the Grizzlies won’t be afraid to take shots down the field and will take more chances. Washington’s D might be great, but it’ll be tested.
One Reason Why Washington Will Win
In an improved Pac-12, the Huskies have to get back to being nasty again. They weren’t against Rutgers.
Get ready for UW to hammer after the running game was stuffed by the Scarlet Knights – this is the game to get Myles Gaskin going.
Washington seemingly went through the motions in the 30-14 win, needing about a half before it turned it on and started to play. Rutgers was more physical for stretches, and while the results weren’t there, it still wasn’t afraid to get tough.
What’s Going To Happen
Washington will come out sluggish again, and Montana will keep it interesting for a little while with a few early scores. But the power of the Dawgs will kick in as the game goes on, the defense will find an extra gear, and it’ll be Rutgers all over again. It’ll be a blowout, but it’ll take a little bit to get there.
