What’s Going To Happen
If you love option offenses, if you despise the idea of the forward pass, you’re going to adore this.
Navy crushed Florida Atlantic with QB Zach Abey throwing for 110 yards and a score and running for 235 yards and two touchdowns, and now he gets to do it all again against a Tulane defense that should be solid this year in the secondary, but won’t need to use much of its pass defense skills on Saturday afternoon.
The Green Wave won’t thrown much, either, but Jonathan Banks is coming off a nice day against Grambling. The option attack was fine, but it wasn’t quite as explosive as it needed to be.
Navy will do the option thing a little bit better, with a good performance from the defense on third downs to give Abey and company a shot. Tulane needs to run its style of ground game a little faster, and that’s going to be a problem -time of possession will matter.
