Nevada Will Have 28 Games Seen On National TV This Season
San Diego State, UNLV, Boise State and New Mexico will also be viewed more than 20 times on national networks in 2017-18
San Diego State and Nevada’s matchup on February 10 will be seen on ESPN2
The 2017-18 Mountain West men’s basketball national television schedule was released Thursday, per a conference release.
Nevada leads the conference with 28 games that will be televised nationally, with San Diego State (26), UNLV (26), Boise State (23), and New Mexico (23) not far behind.
The Wolf Pack are fresh off its first Mountain West regular season and conference tournament title, winning 28 games in Eric Musselman’s second year as head coach. Nevada returns star forward Jordan Caroline (15.0 PPG, 9.2 RPG last season) and also welcome a handful of high-major transfers to the league’s 2018 MWC favorite.
Caroline and the Wolf Pack will take on Atlantic 10 contender Rhode Island on Monday, November 13, which can be seen at 8:30pm PT on ESPNU. Nevada’s showdown with TCU, a projected NCAA Tournament team in 2018, is also on ESPNU with a tip time of 10pm PT on Friday, December 8.
Both of Nevada’s Continental Tire Las Vegas Classic matchups against Southern Illinois and San Francisco will be on FS1 at 8pm PT on Friday, December 22 and Saturday, December 23.
Nevada will host Boise State on Saturday, January 20, which will be at 7pm PT on ESPN2. A few weeks later, the Wolf Pack battle San Diego State on Saturday, February 10 – also on ESPN2.
As for the San Diego State Aztecs, Brian Dutcher’s squad will take part in the Wooden Legacy, a three-day event on Thanksgiving weekend televised by ESPN’s family of networks. SDSU also hosts California (December 9, CBS Sports Network) and Gonzaga (December 21, CBS Sports Network) in non-conference play.
Boise State has the three-game Puerto Rico Tip-Off (November 16-19) on ESPN’s family of networks early in the non-league portion of the BSU schedule. The Broncos will be on ESPN2 on Saturday, January 13 as they take on San Diego State.
The new-look UNLV Runnin’ Rebels will look to upset what could potentially be the nation’s top-ranked team on Saturday, December 2, as Marvin Menzies’ crew battles Arizona in Vegas at 7pm PT on CBS Sports Network.

A total of 110 games will be covered on either ESPN networks, CBS Sports Network, AT&T SportsNet, and the Mountain West Network on Stadium. Any game that is not nationally produced by the aforementioned networks will be produced by an on-campus crew on the Mountain West Network on TheMW.com, per the league’s press release.
The men’s college basketball season will begin Friday, November 10.
